Description
Sarah is intrigued when her friend Neil Lawton asks her to help him sort through the contents of a mysterious house he has just purchased on Lookout Mountain. Sarah's daughter-in-law, Maggie, an antiques expert, and friends Irene and Chester, both history buffs, are invited as well. When the party arrives, they discover that the house is fully furnished--in fact it looks as if the owners just disappeared into thin air, sometime around World War II. Sarah and her friends search the house for clues about what happened to the famiy, and she is particularly intrigued by a chest of old quilts that was left behind. But as they search for answers, antiques start to go missing. The culprit must be one of the own, but who would steal these antiques, and why? What does the thief know about the history of the house and shy is Neil so eager to find out what happened all those years ago on Lookout Mountain?
