Description
The sod house is a unique part of our Plains heritage, and no one paints the soddy better than Leah Johnson. "The Sod House Painter," from Montezuma, Kansas. Besides doing a number of paintings and drawings for the book, Mrs. Johnson paints mostly from old photographs of sod houses, and she helped to collect the photographs used in this book.
