Description
This booklet is intended to provide information concerning the identification and natural history of poison ivy and poison oak in Kansas, and also includes information about some nonpoisonous plants that are frequently mistaken for poison ivy. In addition, folklore, poisonous properties, and control of these poisonous plants are discussed. Suggestions are offered to avoid contacting poison ivy and commonly employed methods for treatment of poisoning are listed. An illustrated glossary of terms is included to aid in better understanding the terminology that must be used in properly describing these plants.
